SYP
Another steady week in SYP as prices increased by another $10/mbf.
2x6s were the only outlier as they only increased by $5/mbf while all other dimensions increased by $10/mbf.
This makes four weeks in a row that SYP is on a slow but steady increase; and as demand is seeming to hold up through these summer months, it is likely that we will see at least a few if not several more weeks of increases.
Low grade hardly moved for the 3rd week in a row.
SPF
SPF prices have finally changed their pattern as all dimensions took on a double digit increase this week, most of which increased by $20/mbf.
Since April, SPF had not increased by more than $5/mbf per week until last week. It is hard to tell if we will see another $20/mbf increase next week, but that is what most are speculating to anticipate.
OSB
OSB still did not get the memo that SYP and SPF received this week as prices are still unshaken and remain at rock bottom.
